Koh Chang
"Maldives of the
Thailand", "The Oriental Eden of the East" or even the "Last Paradise of
Natural" might describe Koh Chang. Koh Chang or Chang island
is one of the district in Trat Province in Thailand. It is the country's third
largest island, and the largest island in the Mu Ko Chang National Park archipelago.
"Chang", it means elephant which come from the elephant shape of its
headland. Ko Chang is a tropical marine national park. Its hinterland consists
of over 70% virgin rainforest and is the best preserved tourist holiday
destination in Thailand.
Many tourists from Europe or USA are
wishing for the nice warm weather and beautiful beach. Koh Chang will be one of
their lists that they should go. There are white sandy beaches, pristine rain
forests, abundance of wildlife, marine life, wonderful coral reefs, high
mountain peaks, several scenic waterfalls, a various variety of cuisine and the
most important one " nightlife". The popularity of Koh Chang has been elevated to Thailand's new
tourist haven. It has an airport near Trat, just 15 minutes from the ferry
terminal. Bangkok Airways run twice-daily services from Bangkok, Phuket and Ko
Samui. Also, the island offers fast internet access via many of the island's
internet cafés.
